I’m actually creating this thread right now as it seems there are a few issues with my theme in 7.

However, Litestep on 7 seems to be a topic that comes up fairly often so there’s no reason this thread can’t be put to good use for troubleshooting.

Here’s EREBUS on 7. I haven’t had a chance to go through the code, but I think it has something to do with jDesk? I found that the main problems with LS on 7 had to do with jdesk covering up xlabel and screwing with transparencies.

Hrm, that’d make sense if jDesk was messing with it. You seem more experienced with it than me, do you just use a different desktop module on 7?

.

The only thing I can think of that’d be breaking the weather widget (unless wazup has issues on 7) would be something with the WOEID. If you replace in the URL below with your WOEID do you get an error?

As far as your question with the weather widget, just grab wazup to parse Yahoo’s weather RSS feed. You grab the forecast condition codes and name the weather icons appropriately. Here’s a list of what each condition code stands for.

.

Seems a few people are having probs with the album art widget. What player are you using, where’s your album art, how is it named, and what did you set erbAlbumArtCoverName to?

^ Actually, I think what is happening is that jdesk is covering up the albumart label and the tray? In Win7, LS seems to be super picky about the order in which the modules and labels are loaded, so maybe that’s why? It’s not that there’s anything wrong with the theme per se, just that stuff isn’t showing up for some reason.

Well in your screen the weather is working just not updating and I’m pretty sure the only thing that will do that is an improper WOEID (unless there are some wazup + 7 issues).

As far as the module load order, that definitely sounds like it could be the cause. I’ve had it cause a lot of problems when I was working on the theme.

If you get time to play around with it and it’s indeed the cause, let me know the correct order and I’ll update it.

So apparently all the 7 transparency issues were due to jDesk. Loading jDesk last seems to solve all the issues.
