I love the winamp skin, and everything else is quiet and clean.

I’d think right aligned caption text would be annoying, just from a usability standpoint.

I’m with Christian on this. I think this shot has a perfect equilibrium between retro, modern, and usability.

However, I don’t think that the thickness of the taskbar works with this setup/theme. I would also recommend killing/compressing the menubars in Explorer for cosmetic purposes.

I love this. Nothing to really fuss over – good font choice, colors, icons do work but pixelly fonts may work better (retrofukation), shadows are well placed, and the little line under the taskbar is a great touch.

Love it. It’s like you took all the best bits from your past setups (Tetra, Pavement and Danger) and mixed them in to one!

@caleb: You know, I had thought about killing the menu bar but I actually kinda like having it around. I guess I’ll just nix it for the shot next time.

@requestedRerun: Good thought – I think I might switch to Retrofukation now that you mention it.
