OH MY GOD THIS IS SO GOOD
One of the best things I’ve seen here in a while! Those colors are delish. My only gripes are the internal foobar colors and the anti-aliased pixel font. Other than that this is fresh.
I think it's time we had a ratings talk »
My first submission here…

I’ve missed classic shots like this.. This is a great one, pretty simple though. The side taskbar is nice and the icons work perfectly.
And you got tclock working in win7? Thats awesome, great job!

Wow, been waiting for a retro/classic setup and this turns up. Pretty much agree with BrushAway.

Very nice!
How did you manage to change/hide the start orb? That is to say, the box that says “Start” with the windows logo in Windows classic.
Awesome. Love the shot.

Thanks to everyone!
@stewart: use this ;)
@tabm0de: only for titlebar icons
@crshd: thanks for the review; by now i changed the font to Helvetica and it looks really good, about the icons i think that i will not change them, faenza doesn’t look bad with classic.
@mangosango: thanks for suggestions :D

does tbariconblanker really work on win7?

I always like these retro shots. You really pulled it off, the colors are awesome. A little more consistency with the fonts would be nice though, I see too many different ones. Especially mixing pixel and antialiased fonts ruins it.
Also – Retrofukation and Faenza icons don’t match, actually, Faenza isn’t great for Win classic, anyways. I think you should go with Retrofukation all the way.

Not really a huge fan of classic shots, but for what it’s worth this is a good example of one. Jamie’s retrofuk icons look ace with this style and the mellow colors add to that classic vibe.
My only big criticism is the clock area in the bottom-right. I think a smaller clock font + center-aligned chevron arrows would make this complete (or maybe if the clock font was a pixel font and sat to the right of the chevrons).
And that soft rounded faezna icon – the drive icons are ok, but the desktop one doesn’t fit imo.
Solid shot though. Yay!

Awesome looking desktop.
EDIT: Got 3dcc working. For some reason it would not open as long as VLC was running. Weird..
