Another shot that has some nice parts, that don’t quite mesh together. Like I said on some other shots, there are some nice parts to this. The pixelfonts, window borders, and general style is pretty nice. The exporer window (specifically the toolbar) is the least successful part of this shot, imo. The icons are much too large and non-bitmap, and as a result don’t mesh with the rest of the elements. Change those up and I think you would have a nice pixel-style shot in the mid 80s.
Also, if you want to get more serious, you should start thinking about composition in your shots. Pick images that mesh with the theme you are trying to convey and position windows to get a nice balance. Your window organization for the most part is ok (the gutters between windows could be more consistent, and some windows aren’t perfectly aligned with each other). In this aspect, some of your other shots are definitely more successful (esp Vostroya and rustigheid). Just some (hopefully) helpful hints.
