Hey guys sorry to trash the first submission of this but I quickly released it wasn’t up to par with what I hoped to accomplish. Rather than maintaining it with constant updates here is the results. Stepping into some ‘7’ skinning and exploring the possibilities I decided to get my feet wet with bringing some gaia09 love to Win 7.
Win 7 Stylebuilder still has some quirks about it so until there’s an update to it some things aren’t quite up to par with the Vista version, however I do dig the new Start Menu.
You need a patched system for using theme/.msstyles. A cool little app for using Win 7 styles without having to patch.

Place the Gaia09.theme and Gaia09 folder in your x:\Windows\Resources\Themes folder.
Do the following at your own risk and only if you are comfortable with modifying/ replacing system files. (I wont be responsible for botched installations or improper use.)
For the Navigation buttons you have to replace the ExplorerFrame.dll in your Windows/System32 directory.
(BACKUP FIRST!)
For the StartButton you have to replace Explorer.exe in your Windows directory.
(BACKUP FIRST!)
Make sure to use the proper version included, x86 = 32 bit, x64 = 64 bit. ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL!
To do each of the above take ownership of the files after you make a backup (copy) of them and then replace with the new files (if you are using the same build/version of windows). Then reboot or restart explorer in your Task Manager. (End explore.exe in the processes tab then start a ‘New Task’ in the application tab and type explorer.exe)
-————————————
To unpack the file use 7-Zip. It’s free and it compressed the file to less than half the size as .zip or .rar.
You can report bugs etc here, keep in mind there’s certain limitations right now. So don’t expect miracles.

Will try this on VMware and then will reconsider a Win7 update :)
Edit: I’ve Win7 on my VMware but would like to know how can I change the ExplorerFrame.dll and explorer.exe because they are in use ?
