Artist Notes

As I’ve seen many peeps uploaded their ol’ screenshots, decided to put my bit here too. My 1st. “serious” customization project.

the elements: poma’s SEO for litestep modded (still has some garbage in the code), as well as Axonkolor VS by uac marine, and the Ashen ST by raoul, wearing Amana08 icons as well as “above” Wallpaper by theconcept, image in ZeeD: found @ ffffound.com (i think it’s native from deviantart)

inspiration: NAIMP screenshot by Caliban___ and kowoolo’s IMPULSE (the VS difference: rounded and with the gray-ish line above, instead of bottom, as well as a “micro” frame around), and the original base works

Forgot to show off how the taskbarbutton looks while hovering (the 2nd screenshot), the CD Art Display skin is Pure Adium by Raoul (follow this link:)

Not big on the VS or wall used, but the LS is beautiful!

this has some potential, but it still needs work. imo, the popup looks good but it could match the windows better, or vice versa. the taskbar looks kind of like an after thought, and there seems to be a bit of wasted space up there. other than that, work on matching the fonts some more and you’ll be well on your way.

the litestep is great, but i agree with nitzua about the popup and the windows captionbar. i would make the popup like the caption bars and perhaps hide the 1px frames from the windows

Pretty good for a first “serious” project. Its not groundbreaking nor wonderfully executed, but it is a very good screenshot and with a little more of a push could be a great shot. Take what you’ve learned here technically and make something on your own. It will be hard to break away from the trends at first, but eventually you’ll find the confidence to do it. Keep it up.
