Artist Notes

Fedora 12 | KDE 4

A few devel friends kept hounding me to try kde again, so I gave in and I’m quite impressed. KDE seems to have finally stepped things up and I’m really liking it. I’ve always been a gnome guy but right now, I think I’m going cheat on it for a while.

Stuffs:

Theme: bespin and oxygen
Wall: ???(if you know please tell me)

Apps:

Firefox
Konsole
Gqview
Dolphin

looks great, at first I thought it was a Mac Desk but it looks usable, except the menu bar, it doesn’t fit ;)

Yeah I know you have the multiple desktop buttons and the Fedora icon, but the text in the menu seems unbalanced because the bar is 2x thick. That’s pretty beautiful though.

One of the better KDE shots I’ve seen. Must agree that the text on the bar looks a little odd. Had no idea that KDE supported grouping multiple windows in one, I like :)

This is an excellent KDE4 mod. I agree about the top bar, but the rest is excellent.

Good to know KDE is capable of looking this good. The menu text up top bugs me. I feel like the menu should be slimmer or maybe the text should be vertically centered and turned into buttons or something. The wall looks like it was blown up to fit your res too. Otherwise nice desk.

i agree with josh (fate) on the top menu text. also, match that firefox address/search bar font to the rest of the shot.

Messingaround

I like the ‘f’ with the colors around it—something about that is really pretty, esp. in the presence of stark gray tones. Cool setup!
