This is a very unique shot. The translucent taskbar and window borders work well with the blured focus of the wallpaper. Nice colors, subtle font. swagadocious b-pop.

I like media player and sidebar, maybe squeeze the date into the sidebar.
Looking good, but a tad too minimalistic, it impacts the usability, though if one uses hotkeys, it should be fine.

too much minimalism seems to always be the complaint of my desktops and skins i share, but everything’s always there and very useable. i just try to be creative with left/middle/right clicks and/or hovering in key areas.

eg. all four borders of the media player control winamp, left clicking the top left bar of the sidebar brings up a menu of browser, mail, etc, and right clicking will show the system tray there.

basically, try it! [link] might lessen the criticism on usability.

@mangosango / it’s still my decade old pc running win xp! i think i’ll wait to upgrade until win8..

I really love how you’re sticking to your own thing. Major props for that :)

I’m not so sure about the large text the media player, but it works in the clock and weather.

It all fits together and works (that wallpaper is really pretty as well).

Is this Win7 by chance?

mad props for getting xp to look like an awesome-d version of win7. also for the lovely background image. not a big fan of nature shots myself but that picture is beautiful.

I really like the VS / transparency,along with the wall. Not big on the fonts, but a very solid desk overall. Nice work! :)
