definitely your best shot submitted here so far. visually it’s not much of a departure from the norm, but i really like the reshacks and the fact that you used active desktop. the pixel font looks nice, too.

Like your style on this one.

Classic, I like this one. I just wish you showed more, but that’s just me. :)

This is a pretty nice raw no frills desk. I like that look and imagine that this is gentle on resources as well. I’d say kill the active desktop here. Its a resource hog, takes away from the aesthetic of the shot, and the typography is pretty awful on it. Aside from that, the desk is peaches.

I love the 3DCC. I like the active desktop, just not the font used. Still though, i dig this.

Active desktop gets marginalized too often, so it’s great that you managed to put it to good use here without overdoing it. fate0000 does have a point about it being a resource hog, but if you are OK with it, then why not?

this is nice. only thing I don’t like that much is the prev/play/next buttons in the taskbar.

my type of desktop

I really like what you’ve done so far. Classic will always look cool and the tan/gray color scheme is very classy as well. The photo also matches very well too.

As others have mentioned, the media player icons seems a bit out of place, buts thats really it.
