The systray icons don’t really gel with the rest of the setup and that Gmail widget, well, rainmeter’s usually a no-no anyway, but it sticks out too much.

okay a more constructive comment:
some stuff in this shot is nice, but you should try and tie it all together rather than focus on each element individually. the itunes and gmail thing just look kinda random, and the stuff showing in the open window doesnt seem to match the rest of the shot. also yeah the systray icons, either match them or hide them

That ladybug is pullin the sick twisted moves on that leaf like a fucking Evel Knievel. I’m glad I saw this.

As regards customization, my advice is to refer to the skilled: review the work of previous SSC competitors. You’ll notice that many of the participants attempted to strike a balance between usability and graphical aesthetic.

oh yeah, just started listening to Biffy Clyro and they’re pretty alright~~ drummer is dope.

This is pretty default. I see an applied visual style and a hacked folder icon. Its a good base, but there’s just not enough customization to make this competitive.

The shellstyle. That is all.

good visual style, good wallpaper, the rest not so much.

This is a good start.

A few things I would recommend:
- The systray icons should either be customized or hidden for screenshots, just because they don’t really gel with the setup.
- The default shellstyle icons make the setup feel incomplete as well. Either removing that panel via the folder options or replacing them with blank icons would be best.
- The wallpaper and styler are pretty cool, so keep those :D
