So a few words about the file. In the zip you will find the litestep .lsz file, truetransparency skin, and launchy skin from this screenshot
The Launchy skin is pretty crappy actually, because I couldn’t figure out how to have the title do a little ellipses if it was too long for the little black bubble. Oh well…
The Visual Style (a modded version of: JONGHYUNPARK) is not included.
The albumart module is a little finicky. The albumart basically looks for any file called cover.jpg or back.jpg or folder.jpg in the folder that the song is located. Sometimes, the art will not show after a recycle. You can remedy this by playing a song that has a different album art to the one that is currently playing, which will force the albumart to refresh the image
The overclock tool doesn’t work (except for me ;)), but you can configure it to do something by removing the “;” in the script.rc file and changing the path to some program. I had mine set to open up nvprofile for overclocking.
The litestep works in Win7x64, but the tray icons may not work correctly and the control panel items will be unavailable from the popup. I just use the win+u shortcut and then click “control panel home” to circumvent this problem.
The weather code is from Jive’s zero LS, which is originally by Split, so biiiiig thanks to them :D.

overall, this is put together really well. you’ve really gotten to be one of the premiere ls guys on the scene quickly, because it seems like you can code pretty much anything you dream up.
the slide-out on the white bar looks gorgeous, even though it sticks out just slightly on the sides when it’s hidden. obviously it would have been cool to see an actual volume controller integrated into the theme, but that’s a small detail. the albumart looks slick, but i couldn’t get the mouseover stuffs to show up all the time. lastly, for some reason, i have no right-click popup, only the popup from the graphic on the taskbar. maybe i did something wrong?
EDIT: yeah, it could be jdesk, because for whatever reason, the version this uses wouldn’t download for me through the module downloader when i first ran it…

Did you try out different resolutions? On 1280×1024 the right three icons on the white bar are too small and get squeezed. And is the now playing info supposed to be always on top? And maybe the temperature could be shown in degree celsius, too?

@tflogic: How is your album art stored? In theme.rc, look for *CoverCoverName and specify the filenames there.

@nitz – Thanks! I just switched to a dark background and I can see what you mean about the whitebar. I’ll get it fixed along with some other bugs and update the ls soon. As for the rightclick not working uhhhh I’m not sure. Haha I think it may have to do with jdesk? I’ll look into that :)

@uac – Oh crap – totally forgot to test this at different resolutions. I just need to redo the imageedges for both. When I update, I’ll put the choice of celsius/farenheit in the theme’s popup. As for the player info – I have it set to alwaysontop, but on my computer (for whatever reason) it acts just like a normal window (doesn’t cover up other windows unless its in focus). Huh. I guess I’m going to have to see what’s up with that.

I like this so much and I’d use it full time but for some reason it tends to cause litestep to crash on my system and makes windows unresponsive every so often. I think it’s one of the modules but I have no idea which. (this is on XP SP3)
