Other than that, looks like it’d be pretty comfortable. The black taskbar on the red wall looks freaking decadent, makes me want to try that out at some point.

The transparency is worth a point (it makes the colours and font clash less) but it’s still not a very nice terminal :P
Have a look here, that’s my newest shot (and it’s not linux-like, that’s actually linux), and I find my terminal less harmful to the eyes because the font is matched with the rest of the shot (as are the colours).
here are some more good terminal use examples, the emerald one and all the heavily minimal ones especially. You’ve got to make it part of the shot, not just chuck it in for fun. It’s like looking into the guts of your computer I suppose, you don’t want it to seem ugly on the inside (and you really don’t want it to be ugly when you’ve got to use it to fiddle around with your system :P). Try and get rid of that harsh seam.
