Props on making this all yourself. That’s a neat take on the caption bar, I haven’t seen anything quite like it before.

When you’re using pixel fonts you should turn off cleartype – pixel fonts don’t want to be smoothed. See here: The bottom text is from your screenshot, but it’d render as the top without font smoothing.

Also: “i really wish i could reply to these comments !! .. (:” – What’s stopping you?

Nice, I want to do something similar with caption bars but I’ll likely keep it more crisp than glassy. I like what you’ve done with it, pretty and simple.

also i saw robin thicke perform in baltimore, i had no idea that a white dude could sound like that heh. he was awesome though, even though i never wouldve gone if not for my girlfriend

gorgeous idea for the caption bar. refine that scrollbar a bit and you’re well on your way to feature.

Very nice. I think you could maybe add some more interface cues like icons and dividers without taking away from the aesthetic. That explorer window? seems really confusing. The caption bars are neat and the clock is awesome. I’d love to see you take one of your themes and really develop it out for public use. Lots of potential here.

I really like this, even more so because you made the VS/LS yourself :)

I’m not sure about the gradient on the caption bars, but I do like the effect it has of making the bar seem much narrower than it really is.

My only other small comment is that you should add a date next to your clock in the top-right :) There’s lots of room to add it and I think it would make that giant space seem a little less awkward.

Overall very good stuff :)
